Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 7, 2026
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Introduction
Donald E. Morrow, CPA & Associates ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://www.donmorrowcpa.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.
This policy covers the Site only. Information you share with us as a client, during tax preparation or planning, is also covered by our obligations as a tax professional and by any separate privacy notice we give you as a client.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a contact form, email us, or call, you may give us your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation. You decide what to share. You do not have to give us anything to browse the Site.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, account numbers, or tax documents through the website contact form or by regular email. Those are not secure ways to send sensitive information. We will tell you how to send documents safely.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our Site and the services that host and measure it may record your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, the pages you view, the time of your visit, and the site or search that sent you here.
Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our service providers use them to keep the Site working properly and to understand which pages people find useful. Most browsers let you refuse cookies or delete them. Parts of the Site may not work normally if you do.
We do not knowingly collect information about your race, religion, health, or other sensitive categories through the Site.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
Respond to your question or request and follow up with you
Provide, operate, and improve the Site
Understand which pages and topics visitors find useful
Send information you asked for
Keep the Site secure and prevent misuse
Meet our legal, regulatory, and professional obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How we share your information
We share personal information only in these situations:
Service providers. Companies that help us run the Site and the practice, such as our website host, email provider, analytics provider, and secure document portal. They may only use the information to do that work for us.
Legal reasons. If we are required to by law, by a subpoena or court order, or by a regulator, or where we believe it is necessary to protect the rights or safety of any person.
With your permission. If you ask us to share your information with someone, such as a lender, attorney, or another advisor.
Business transfer. If the practice is ever sold, merged, or transferred, client and visitor information may transfer as part of that.
As a tax professional, we are also bound by federal rules that limit how tax return information may be used or disclosed. In most cases we need your written consent before disclosing tax return information to anyone else.
Analytics and third-party services
Our Site is built on a hosted website platform, and we use web analytics to see how the Site is performing. These providers collect usage information on our behalf under their own privacy policies. We also link to a secure third-party client portal for exchanging documents. When you use that portal, that provider's privacy policy applies to the information you submit there.
Our Site may link to other websites we do not control, including the IRS and state tax agencies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information in our care, and we require our service providers to do the same. Our website uses encryption in transit, and we use a secure portal rather than email for client documents.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. We cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed or disclosed in a way that this policy does not describe.
Your choices
Contact us instead of using a form. You can always call or write to us.
Cookies. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies.
Do Not Track. Browsers may send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so our Site does not currently respond to those signals.
Email from us. If we send you updates and you no longer want them, tell us and we will stop.
Your rights, including Colorado residents
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to:
Tell you what personal information we hold about you
Correct information that is wrong
Delete information, where the law allows it
Give you a copy of the information you provided
Stop using your information for certain purposes
Colorado residents have these rights under Colorado law, and residents of some other states have similar rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will ask for enough information to confirm who you are before we act. We will not treat you differently for making a request.
Some information must be kept even after a request. Tax and professional records are subject to retention rules that override a deletion request.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy. Please check back from time to time.
