We always start with an estimate, which includes uploading last year's tax return into our safe and secure portal, and letting us know if anything has changed.
From there, we provide an estimate for completing your return. Unlike many firms that charge for client correspondence, we believe it's right to only charge for the time we take to prepare your return. So your price will not change from your estimate unless there are unexpected circumstances not previously discussed.
Our rates start at $400 per hour, with a one-hour minimum fee for all returns.

Providing a courtesy analysis based on our understanding of their situation, and if anything else could be provided to further reduce their tax liability
Preparing their return in an effective and efficient manner
Presenting the completed return to them for final approval
Acquiring their signature of approval on relevant tax documents
E-filing (or paper filing in rare circumstances) of both the Federal and State returns, including initiating tax refund requests or payment on behalf of the taxpayer (depending on their individual circumstances)

Once we have all of your information, we can begin to work on your tax strategy and return preparation.
During tax season we generally complete our client returns once all documents have been received, in order of submission. Our turn-around time is generally within a week.
If a client needs their return completed sooner, we can work with our clients to meet their needs.
